| China is the earliest state in the world to cultivate Azalea, as early as Tang Dynasty. Azalea has good names of "Ying Shan Hong", "Shan Shi Liu", "Hong Zhi Zhu". Azalea was praised as city flower of Zhenjiang in 1995. Nanshan Azalea Garden has been constructed for many years, having three gardens, i.e. spring azalea garden, summer azalea garden, spring and summer azalea garden. At the time of azalea blossoming every year, the citizen of Zhenjiang rushed there to see the scene. |
