Climb Nanshan and bring health home

On May 30, 2010, Jiangsu Province¡¯s fifth ¡°Riverside Sports Belt¡± national fitness event was held in Zhenjiang Nanshan Scenic Area. Vice Governor Cao Weixing, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda Zhang Honghong, Vice Mayor Wang Ping, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC and Leader of the Nanshan Management Committee (Garden Bureau) Xu Pingping attended the launching ceremony.


Jiangsu Province's "Riverside Sports Belt" comprehensive fitness linkage event was jointly launched in 2006 by the Provincial Sports Bureau and eight cities along the Yangtze River: Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Yangzhou, Nantong, and Taizhou. It showcases the characteristics and advantages of cities along the river and builds a national fitness platform. It is held in one city every year.


This year not only eight cities along the Yangtze River participated, but also five other provincial cities were specially invited to participate. The theme of this comprehensive fitness linkage activity is: comprehensive fitness, you and I, "climb Nanshan and bring health home." The activities mainly include six contents, including the National Fitness Forum, the launch ceremony of the National Fitness Linkage, and the Nanshan Mountain Climbing Competition for families participating in 13 cities in Jiangsu.


After the launching ceremony, families from 13 cities along the Yangtze River participated in the Nanshan Mountain Climbing Competition. The competition was divided into relay race and time trial. After intense competition, Zhai Shuai¡¯s family from Nantong City won the first place in the mountaineering time trial, Yang Aixiang¡¯s family from Nanjing City won the first place in the mountaineering relay race, and He Jin¡¯s family from Lianyungang won the first place in the specially invited city relay race. The Zhenjiang family achieved two second places and two third places in four categories. Zhenjiang City's third fitness Yangko prescribed movement competition in 2010 was also held simultaneously, and the Yangzhong City and Runzhou District teams won the first prize.


    At the final awards and flag handover ceremony, Yin Baolin, director of the Provincial Sports Bureau, took over the flag from Xu Ping, director of the Zhenjiang Municipal Sports Bureau, and handed it over to Jiangyin City, the organizer of the sixth "Riverside Sports Belt" comprehensive fitness linkage in Jiangsu Province.
